Yesterday I made a nice visit to the Blue Lotus Temple to see my friend Bhante Sujatha who is a wonderful person and is always full of great information and I feel is a huge part of my growth. He has been a monk since 11 and has so many fascinating stories. Our show this week was the art of service and ironically, Bhante's dharma talk was on this topic. (read more)

EPISODE XXXI: HOW MAY I BE OF SERVICE
Doing for others, helping those in need, and just kind words can make a difference in some many peoples lives. I talk about that and also welcome Rob Mutert from Warp Corps, a NFP in Woodstock that helps in youth outreach, finding resources for people who are homeless or struggling with mental health and addiction issues, and doing whatever they can do make the world a better place.

THE GRATITUDE CHRONICLES: AVOID DISTRACTIONS DAILY
I am cursed and blessed with personality disorders. One of them is known as ADHD which stands for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. The wonderful is I can do multiple things well and have mad multitasking skills. The bad thing is sometimes during my multitasking, I get distracted by things that have nothing to do with the task at hand, oh look my cat is playing ball. OK where was I. Just a joke. read more

EPISODE XXX: GET UNCOMFORTABLE
In the episode we talk about the shackle of progress, comfort. When we are comfortable in a situation we tend to not want to change it due to many factors. Fear of what could happen and go wrong. Will it be a disaster? It may be the best thing ever, but you have to leap to find out.

THE GRATIITUDE CHRONICLES: ITS JUST A GAME
I grew up in a household that loved to watch sports. I was always against the grain when it comes to sports because in the past, I was a very antagonistic sports fan. My family tried to raise me on two premises. There are two baseball teams in Chicago, and you should always root for the team from where you were born. I disagreed with that as I was a White Sox fan through and through and despised the Cubs. I wasn't down with the 1985 Bears, but the 85 Dolphins since they beat them. I also loved the Blackhawks, and eventually found a way to root for the Miami Heat (because I was a very antagonistic sports fan.) However my feelings about sports have been starting to change over the years. (read more)

EPISODE XXVIV: TOO MUCH IS BEYOND ENOUGH
This week on Breathe N Bounce we look at what is enough for us? When do we do too much? Too much indulgence, too much getting off track, too much self-care. However, we also look at do we work too hard at things. For instance, too much exercise, too much work. The bottom line is how do we find our edge in life. The edge is when any more is too much, and any less is not enough. Walking the edge can strengthen us, teach us, and guide us. This is where we find our enough. This is where we just take what we need and leave the rest behind.
