MUSIC FROM EPISODE II

AVICII - What would I change it to (Featuring Aluna George)

This album came out after Tim's passing.  It has the wonderful blending of pop and edm with a sound that is unmistakeningly his.  The message of the song just doing your best and being ok with the outcome

GRANT LEE BUFFALO - It's the Life

Most of GLBs songs are relatable and this album is one of my favorites. It is a 90's album and I would highly suggest checking it out.  Mockingbirds is one of the greatest songs of all time, but let's focus on this song which talks about the same theme as Avicii, creating your life and accepting it as it is.

LIAM PAUL - Don't Stop

I don't know this guy, but I loved this cover of Fleetwood Mac's epic hit.  I always like to find obscure stuff to feature on the show that I feel fits the general mood I am trying to convey. This was a great feel good song and I really enjoyed hearing it.

If you want to submit a song for the show, you can always contact me and submit an MP3 and if I feel it woks with an episode we will roll with it,

CHRIS MALINCHAK-HAPPINESS

I thought this was a very positive way to kick off the show.  Chris has tremendous depth with his music and the theme of BNB is happiness so I thought that would be a great way to kick off the show.

DEORRO (FEATURING DYCY) -GOIN UP

The vibe on this song is absolutely fantastic.  The song talks about how the person singing is going to raise their level of life, not caring what others will think.  Deorro's album Good Evening is featured on a post I wrote a few years back when I talked about my 50 favorite albums which he made the list.  My thoughts back then:

EDM to me have its fixtures that produce great music and not make things monotonous.  It is challenging but Deorro's album stood up in front of all.  Let alone the song five hours has been sampled by so many people the Chris Brown edition closes out the album,  But the album begins as Deorro is in a night club performing these songs to people. It has an old school feel to it and he has small interludes for many of the songs on the album.  The tracks are insanely well produced and make you want to jump and wave your hands.  Commercial maybe? But its so fucking good.  Turn Back Time and Goin Up are just very pleasant songs that when you get the kick, you feel it.  That's the thing about this album, it's an adventure of sound.  It takes you on a trip.  A fun ride.  Other songs that stand out are Feel Pretty Good, Rise and Shine, and Bailar which is one of my favorites on the album.  A latin feel that makes you move.

This song is one of my favorite feel good songs.

KNIFE PARTY- Begin Again

This song was not supposed to be in the episode but when Jodi spoke about Jonny Kest, her yoga teacher giving her the adivce of "begin again" I knew I had to stick that in there.  The song itself is one of the most inspirational songs I have ever heard and I absolutely love it.  The whole song wasn't featured but check it out here.

SWEDISH HOUSE MAFIA-Don't You Worry Child (featuring John Martin...acoustic version)

I was once asked what song would make me dance at the grocery store, this was the one, EXCEPT this is the acoustic version of that song that was featured in the SHM documentary Leave the World Behind which detailed their breakup years ago (they're back together now FYI).  I love this version of the song, especially when we do yoga we have to chill once in a while right?

If you have any questions about any of these songs or want to talk music, feel free to contact me at anytime.

HELLO AND WELCOME

This is the beginning of something new. Something exciting.  Something challenging.  It is a new chapter in my life.

If you are looking for all the answers in life, this is not the place.  There is no miracles on 34th street or any other street for that matter here.  However, this is a place where we can meet, we can talk, we can plan, we can learn.  We can do so much to help ourselves so much.

Breathe and bounce is a metaphor for life.

We all must breathe in life.  The moment our breath stops, our life stops.  This is a fact.  However, we can learn to use our breath to get us through the toughest parts of our life.  We can use it to help relax, concentrate and think.  When in yoga, we are always told to go back to our breath.  We might lose it for a moment, but we can always find a way to get back to it.

We all bounce in life.  Sometimes we have positives bounces, sometimes negative.  We bounce through life in our thoughts, our emotions, our behavior.  If we bounce too much things can become a challenge.

That is the foundation of this.  We learn how to breathe through the bounces,  We can learn how to breath in and bounce the negative shit out as well.  The title is free for interpretation but that is what it means to me.

For whatever reason you are here.  For entertainment, enlightenment, wisdom, hope, care, love, its all here.  My purpose here is to help keep you on a path.  Don't worry, I am not an expert.  The only knowledge I have is life experiences and ours may be similar or different.  So come here knowing there is openness and no judgments.  We all fight the same battle, and the competitor we all have is ourselves.

Thank you so much for dropping in.  Please join our socials and stay in tune as big thngs will be happening here.

Thank you and namaste

Michael
