 Everyone loves to live life with no problems or no issues.  However, we need issues to help challenge us and shape us for more challenges ahead.  We should use yoga as a tool not only to find our edge physically but mentally.  I talk about the danger of living a sheltered life in the suburbs or anywhere else for that matter.  Today I talk about the idea that you don't have to live with sad icky feelings forever.  They will not be permanent as nothing really is in life.  It important to incorporate this into your daily practice, however it is also crucial to remember the good and positive things go away as well.  So we have to learn how to be here now to enjoy every second, and learn from the seconds as well.   So in an unfortunate twist in events, the 108 Sun Salutations event I was hosting at Rakow Center in Carpentersville is canceled due to low attendance.  When we make solid decisions, there is always something that taps on the shoulder that says no no no.  This is not good for you.  This will destroy you.  Well, we have to tell something to piss off and make our decisions and stick with them.  The temptation to be comfortable is definitely there, but we must go forward and embrace discomfort, as change comes with it. We all live busy lives. Some more busy than others. Some super busy, and some the craziness is at home taking care of our kids, cleaning up, walking the dog; the list goes on and on.  I talk about how important self care is and how not having any has very negative effects.  I also talk about how some parts of it need to become habits and not just luxuries.  I set my goals for self care and doing things that will make me better and stronger physically and mentally, and reach out to you all to do the same.
